Food in public restrooms-FAIL!!!

This is somethig that never ceases to gross me out. I always wonder what drives people to bring food to public restrooms. I took this picture at work. All right, had it been something in a sealed container I probably wouldn't have bothered even noticing but this is like a piece of calzone on a paper plate sitting next to the urinals. Ok, like 2m away from the closest one, but still. I'm never going to be able to understand this.

These two fellows come straight outta Amsterdam. A friend of mine, who's half Dutch half Norwegian introduced this cheese to me a while back then. After trying it once there was no way back for me! This is probably one of the best cheeses I'v ever had in my life. It's got a very very nutty taste to it and it's very intense so it's almost imposible to eat large amounts in one sitting. I love it with the Wasa oats crisp bread and salted butter. Whenever I eat it I try to slice it as thin as it gets. Yeah it's that intense. All right, I'm off now to treat myself to some of this goodness.

Push-ups, crunches and now chin-ups

Just got home from the store. I bought myself a chin-up bar. It'a been a while since I did some pull ups the last time. I kinda missed it and now I'v got it. The mount is a bit weird so it remains to be seen how this is going to work with my doorways. Yeah it's one of those bars that are meant to be mounted in the door frame. Anyway, I like it, Isidor likes it too and it's gonna be fun to use it again. I need a bit of variation in my only push-ups and crunches routine.

Five days left

Today is the last Monday I'm with my current employer, the University of Oslo. It doesn't mean I won't be here next Monday though. What it means is that the next Monday I'm here I won't be paid for that. My ultimate goal this year has been the thesis submission by the last day of my contract. As far as I can tell right now that goal is destined to failure. I am not sure I'll make it by November 8, 2009 unless something really miraculous happens by then. What is good though is that I'm almost there. There is some administrative work to be done too, which additionally puts the submission off. Whatever the case might be I'll be off by approximately a week or two, which is not bad at all. Ok, now I'm off polishing the introductory part of my thesis and then later I'll try to start the administrative part of the thesis submission work.
